Who We Are
The Lions Association for Sight & Hearing of Maryland, Inc. (LASH) was created and funded by the Lions Clubs of Central Maryland that make up District 22-A to provide the administrative body to conduct, foster and/or support projects and programs associated with the preservation and restoration of sight and hearing.
The foundation provides the tools to the Lions of central Maryland that help them and their volunteers to do free vision, glaucoma and hearing screening at health fairs, area businesses, government agencies, educational institutions, senior centers and other community gatherings.
LASH created the Health Screening Unit (HSU) to enable the Lions of central Maryland’s District 22A to expand on their ability to provide free vision, glaucoma and hearing screening to their communities. If you would like to have the Health Screening Unit come to your community complete the Health Screening Event Invitation form.
While LASH is supported primarily by the Lions clubs of District 22-A, individuals, industry and commerce are welcome to make contributions to further our service activities. LASH is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. All contributions are tax deductible.
