More than a dozen children ranging from preschool through elementary school received vision screenings Feb. 26 at the Linthicum Branch of Anne Arundel County Library. Volunteers from Linthicum Lions Club conducted the screenings in conjunction with LASH.
LASH provided Titmas and Welch Allyn Spot® vision screeners. Titmus Vision Screeners are ergonomically designed, precision-built stereoscopic instruments, providing precise and prompt measurement of visual performance. The Spot® Vision Screener is a handheld, portable device designed to help quickly and easily detect vision issues on patients as young as six months.
The Lions gave parents the results of the tests, encouraging them to consult eye doctors if the screening detected potential eyesight issues.
